Goals 2009

Working list of my slightly lofty personal goals for 2009. A detailed introductory post is here.

  • Be Debt Free by the End of the Year
  • Get My Email Under Control
  • Make a Gail Wilson Kit – Enrolled in Gail’s online class. I’m far behind the front runners, but I HAVE actually started my girl. Pieces are cleaned up and fleshtone painted.
  • Finish Reba
  • Complete Sewing Room – Have been fairly faithful since the first of the year to spent 15 minutes minimum working in the room. So far have painted woodwork and ceiling at end of room, replaced and filled shelves on the back wall, and demoused and moved most of the furniture back in that area. (End of January)
  • Complete Laundry Room
  • Lose 25 Pounds – 14 down, 11 to go…
  • Learn to Do Entrelac and Knit Backwards – Have experimented successfully with knitting backwards.
  • Go Somewhere New – Negative progress on this so far. Both cruises have been canceled by my traveling companions.
  • Become Comfortable Spinning
  • Read 100 BooksClick here for current status.
  • Knit Another Pair of Socks – Have several options – SchoolHouse Press KAL, Foxglove that are barely cast on, knitting students wanting to make socks, and the Basketweave headaches I worked on supposedly as my first pair last year and put down in total frustration.
  • Stash All My Downstairs Yarn on Ravelry – Have 244 as of Feb 16.
  • Do a “Difficult” Lace Pattern – patterned both directions
  • Do Something/Anything with my CSM – Have found someone reasonably local who knows well what she’s doing, so I have a contact!
  • Take Steps Toward Designing Knitting Patterns
